Welcome to the inaugural Work-Based Learning Teen Summit!

We hope you were able to join us on this special day as students from The Bronx and New York City shared their experiences with work-based learning and its impact.
About this event:
HERE to HEREĀ andĀ Teens Take Charge hosted a student-led discussion with students, educators, and policymakers about the power of work-based learning (WBL) opportunities, including internships and apprenticeships, and their impacts on young peoples’ lives.

During the event, we heard from college and career readiness experts, as well as NYC public school students on their own experiences accessing and participating in work-based learning programs, and how it’s helped shape the path for their lives after high school.

Our policy experts and student advocates also introduced you to the types of work-based learning programs available to young people across New York City and our efforts to expand equity through these experiences in the Bronx and beyond.
